Blog Post #52
I think I would ask the Wardon to make me pretty if I was Tally. She is doing it to see if the cure really works so she is gonna help many thousands of people by turning pretty.

I do think that Tally will regret telling David because now it will be different between them, but she was going to have to tell him anyway so its better sooner than later. I think that David will change his mind about her, but then change it back. I think it will start with David being so frustrated with Tally but then he will realize that she did change her mind because she went rescued the Smokies and try to build a new Smoke.

No, Maddy should not have forced Shay to take the "cure." Then she would be just like Dr. Cable, forcing people to do things without their consent.

If I were Shay, I wouldn't take the cure. It has never been tested before that day, there is a 1% chance that it could kill her, and there isn't a certainty that it will work. So, no, I wouldn't take the cure.

"Tally thought of the lesions on Shay's brain, the tiny cancers or wounds or whatever they are that she didn't even know she had. They were in there somewhere changing her friend's thoughts, warping her feelings, gnawing at the roots of who she was."
It means that one of her best friends has some sort of brain disease and she doesn't know about and Tally can't do anything about it. So Tally just has to sit there and watch her friend get stupider and stupider.

I think that this has a deeper meaning to the story.
Interrogation Room One & Interrogation Room Two:
where the captives or criminals get questioned or interrogated
Isolation Room One:
is where the uncooperative people are placed to sit alone and think about whether to tell the Specials or not too
Disorientation Room One:
this is the torture room
"It was Shay. She was pretty."
"She was tall and elegant, every feature perfection. Her eyes-deep and soulful..."
